Well school for me has started up again. I'm still adjusting to working full time again. It's still a good gig, but it is a lot of hours. I miss Brian like crazy, and I wont see hime agian til Christmas.
My childhood best friend is moving back to WI....again. So that's awesome. =]
Christmas shopping has yet to be started and that's a frightening thought that there are only 21 days left.
I decided that I really like the TV shows Raising Hope, Weeds, and Reaper. And yes, Brian, you should watch them. And yes, Brian, I'm addicted to Netflix.
Well, signing off, back to school work for me. =[
A new marriage and a new adventure. Brian and I have set off for a roller coaster, and you know what they say about roller coasters. No, what do they say about them? (Good thing you made it off alive?)

Here and There
So, here's the latest.
We went from DC to Georgia for more training. (sarcastic yay) After that, I came back to my home town to stay with family and work the next couple of months.
Brian is in Georgia, and I am stuck in Wisconsin...for the whole winter. Who would ever want to be stuck in WI for a whole winter?!
Thanksgiving has come and gone already. Brian flew home and we visited family. And we got a new car! Well, I should say Brian bought me a car. I think I have the worlds greatest husband.
More soon.

We're home
Well we are where we call home for the next 3 weeks. We arrived in the DC area yesterday. It is so busy here! There are people everywhere. I have visited Chicago before and I thought that was busy. It's worse here. On the bright side we got here with enough time to unpack, go grocery shopping, and go exploring. =]
Unpacking-was easy (cus I have close to nothing here) and went quickly. I decided upon arrival that I needed* a bigger bathroom. With a whole counter to set all of my misc. stuff on.
Grocery shopping- Since we are in a new city, I didn't know where to shop! We found a Safeway only about 1 mile from the house and we went there. Also, we signed up to be a member of their club and we saved 16$. Yay! I love saving money.
Exploring- consisted of walking around the property here, driving like a mouse in a maze in town, and riding the Metro! I've never ridden one before. It was pretty exciting, but I must admit that I was really nervous cus I though we were going to get lost or on the wrong one or mugged or lost. =/
It was a fabulous first day in town and the road trip here went really smoothly as well.
Just glad to be "home"

1 day til move
Well we are all packed up and ready to move. Even though we are deffering the pack out until after the initial 3 weeks in DC. So pack out is Oct 20. Today I went to lunch with my girlfriends, visited the husband at work, toured the prepack surveyist around the apartment, got tattoo, borrowed dad's van, got my cedar chest home, returned van, visited mom, saw the baby, said goodbye =[ to caylee, dinner with sierra, and fight club (even though im not supposed to talk about it).
Tomorrow-is double that!
We are driving out Friday morning, whenever we decide to get up. It is bittersweet saying goodbye. Knowing that an exciting adventure awaits but leaving family is a difficult battle with oneself.
I got a tattoo today. =] It's for my dad and mom. Whom mean the world to me and their inspiration and support to my artistic lifestyle. It runs in the family and I hope that I can one day return the favor to my children. =]
Well we need to get to sleep for the busy day tomorrow! Cya

Funny story.
So, my first nephew is coming in 7 days! Yay! I'm so excited. But very not excited to leave in 14 days. Boo. However on the brightside I get to travel the world with my husband, the bad news is that I have to leave my siblings and parents. And I actually do like them! So.....back and forth again on how I feel about this whole thing.
Funny story time? OK! So-there I was..... sitting in my living room with my husband. He was watching TV and I was knitting. He was obnoxiously playing with the needles and kept clicking them together and I kept telling him to stop. Well, this goes on for about 20 minutes until I very politley and flirtatiously ask him to get me some ice cream. So....story goes on, he gets it, brings it to me, sits back down......and then our roomate asked for ice cream. He was trying to act funny mad but he actually threw the needle to the ground, IT BOUNCED like 20 feet and hit the TV! You know how if you sit on your phone then the screen shatters? Well....make that phone a 42'' tv and you have my situation.
It was too funny but he was so embarassed. (better him than me, that's for sure)
Beyond that......I have 2 days of work left here in WI for now. 2 days left on campus schooling until I switch to online to make it easier for the move. Crazy!
Way excited though.....
Still need to figure out pay cycles however.

Getting closer
So apperently the travel orders that we've been waiting on to set up housing in DC, already came to us, but were marked as administrative papers instead of travel authorizations. They simply explained the confusion by telling us that since we were just getting assigned to training that it would have been labeled differently. Would have been nice to know.....
Anyway, so we are working on booking housing. I'm still confused what all of the other spouses do while the husband goes to Georgia for a couple months. Do we, stay in DC? move to Georgia and find an apartment? Or stay in our home town with family for free? I am only confused because Brian will be living in barrack housing for the winter....where do I go?
This week will be filled with organizing, or trying to at least, our apartment. I took a stab at the living room closet yesterday and just ended up with more mess.
I have 2 more weeks of school on campus left before switching to online. Speaking of school, I had a speech today which went pretty well. There are only so many ways that you can make a speech on the 22nd amendment interesting. ... I've been with the same group of people at this school for over a year and a half. Yup, I'm gonna miss them. As obnoxious, annoying, teasing, and goofy we all are, we have established a safe enviroment and I'm sad to be leaving that.
My mom keeps telling me not to move and that she'll miss me too much. Which is hard to deal with. Harder to imagine I guess knowing that we dont spent a lot of time together now. I think I will miss my family like crazy but most of all.....Kaylie (my brother, Cameron,'s fiance) cus she just gets me and its super easy to hang out with her, and I can tell her anything. Janelle (best friend) because she spills juice all over my kitchen, is super clumsy, and always knows how to make me smile. Sierra, Marean, Candice, Caylee, Courtney, Jamie, all of my regulars at the bar,.....ok so everyone. This is bittersweet.
On a relevant issue:
Brian, I am proud of you. You are crazy amazing for all that you do. You impress me. You always know how to make me smile, giggle, goof, (and angry) jk about that last one...kind of. I love you with all of my heart and I know that everyone you will meet in the future will see how hardworking you are and how dedicated you are to your goals.
Well thats all for now......off to some much needed sleep!

So much to do...So little time.
So....the chaos continues. You know, this year, has been a wicked crazy year to think about it. With moving in with B, then getting our own place, getting engaged, getting married, starting and continuing this crazy DOS stuff. Whew, it's tiring.
Right now we are working on consolidating our phone bills, car insurances, and banks. This-semi easy. Then we also have to decide where I am going to live while he'll be barrack housed for 3 months away, sublet or break our lease here, and I still have a cake to finish decorating for Sunday.
I have 7 more work days here in WI. That is one frightening sentence to write. B seems to be handling this all too well almost. He is just being the perfect husband he always is and telling me that "it will all work out".
OK- tell me that again when I'm back here in Oct. by myself supervising the pack out, and moving, and helping our roommate, S, finish moving. And helping my sister with her (very soon to be) new son. And missing my husband, because we've never really been away from each other.
I know that this will all work out, I do. It just gets a little scary sometimes and I can worry. It's my right as the wife.

Where it all begins...
Well, this is it. My first blog started to keep track. (I'd lose my own head if it wasn't attached ya know)
For those first time visitors...
My name is Caryssa and am recently married to Brian. We currently live in WI. Brian just got the email invitation to attend school on September 26, 2011 for his position as a Diplomatic Security Special Agent. We have been waiting for this email for almost a year!
You see-last year in July, I met Brian. He had just finished his bachelor's degree in 2 years which was post to his 8 years in the marines. Then, he wanted to look for a career and found the agent position. Just as quickly he fell in love with me, he fell in love with the job. So, in August he applied. Then in November he and I drove down to Chicago for the interview. We found out in December that he passed the interview and the background/medical checks would begin in January. Target completion date was in March, but we found out 3 days after our wedding (May 27) that he passed the background check. Yay! This was a huge obstacle to overcome. Well, the story goes on that, he was notified that he was put on a list. Brian was number 106 out of 147. Then, just this week, on Tuesday he received and email that notified him he was number 21 out of 182! What a leap.
So we are both extremely excited to move in September to D.C. From there we will move to Georgia and then back to D.C. and then to 1 of 8 cities within the next year!
So that's the big news with us. Besides that.....we are having a wedding on May 27 2012. Even though we are already married, we were married in the courthouse in 2011 so that we had all of the paperwork done and taken care of for this new job. So, while we'll be moving, we will also be planning a wedding!
Ok, I will keep everyone posted as to what's going on with this whole moving around and such deal with our lives. We are in for an adventure.
Over and out.
